I just ran across two BRNO 602's in NRA "very good" condition. They are in 375H&H and 300WM. The 375 has some really nice wood on it the 300 a much plainer stock.

They are just like to lost pups needing a good home, but I am struggling with justifying the gap between 9.3x62 and 416 Rigby and the gap between 3006 and 338WM.

The price while not cheap is what I consider fair.

I don't need two more rifle but the BRNO's are nice, the only one I've had, in 458WM, I sold to my brother in a weak moment.

Ahh decisions, decisions...

Just when has need played a part in all this? Get them both and be happy. I certainly didn't need another 7x57 but, I couldn't resist a Steyr Luxus Carbine that I will pick up tomorrow.

Buy them both and take your time deciding.

Are they the earlier ones with the built-in pop up peep sight? Those are way cool.

If they have the pop up sight in the rear bridge then grab them as quick as you can.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

I've owned both the rifles you mention. Both were very good rifles but were too heavy for the chamberings. I would not own another based on that alone.

Save your money. I wouldn't worry about the supposed "gap" in your lineup. I don't see one

Some of them look like the stock was finely hewn with an axe, and the action was polished with gravel. CZ rifles are generally a few steps more refined

I kinda think that the BRNOs were better quality than the modern CZs. I had a 375H&H BRNO 602 that shot 1MOA all day long straight out of the box. I had to mess with the bedding on my CZ 375H&H mag before it would shoot that well. The BRNO had a good stock too:

The early Brno 602s were of very good quality. Unfortunately post the 1967 Soviet invasion the quality of Brno's dropped markedly . After Czechoslovakia gained independence the quality improved, but not to the pre-1967 level.
