The 5.11 pants have worked very well for me for years. I've got a couple of pair of those that I really like too. And one pair of their shorts I've had for 5 years now that I still haven't been able to wear out.

Duluth dry in the fly, they work in the summer and winter with some wool underneath. A little pricey but even I can't tear them or wear them out. Plus my LC9 drops into the zippered pocket and hides.
