As some Republicans express concerns that Trump's move to the political middle could leave them out in the cold, a number of his supporters are pointing to the recent immigration and debt ceiling deals with Democrats as a wake-up call for a Republican majority that has defeated itself on a number of key issues.
"This should be a good warning to Republicans that we're going to need to get some of these things across the finish line," Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Penn.) said of the recent deals.

How kind of Trump to ask the republicans to join him in supporting the democrats

Trump didn't kill every democrat in the country on day 1. You're upset by that. I get it. He's not the dictator you and the MSM want him to be. He's the law and order president.

Back to the original topic. If Trump goes down the road of amnesty who is a legitimate primary challenger ? Is there anyone to support and start immediately if there's a DACA sellout. It takes time to build a challenger.

Somebody has to *want* to be a challenger.

There's any number of people who would like to ride the gravy train that maintaining the status quo provides. But other than that,...hardly anybody wants to fug with it.

It's just one clown parade after another.

The people of America are living under an occupied government and are on their own,....especially if they're Caucasian.

Curbing illegal immigration is more than an "issue".

It's the choice between having a country and allowing it to be taken by invaders.

If the invaders who are already here aren't expelled and steps taken to prevent others from coming into the country,..everything else is a moot point.

This is about DACA. Not the wider scope of immigration in all forms.

When this is all over, a lot sooner than anyone thinks, y'all are going to wonder why you ever doubted Trump. Results trump words and emoting.

Allowing DACA to proceed is just another camel's nose under the tent.

The invasion of the U.S.A. will either end or it won't.

Oh I agree. But I'm looking at reality. And the political reality is that DACA is here to stay... unless congress does what they do best and fail to act. Now assuming congress does act to keep DACA, would it not be best to do so in a manner where Trump gets a bunch of big wins coupled in the DACA legislation? Like maybe shutting down the border to all immigration for a decade along with say funding the border wall, kicking out all the other illegals and tax reform? I still don't like it, but it's politics.

Like I said previously. Everything else is a moot point.
