I certainly don't expect that Trump will get much of his original legislative agenda passed through an opposition uniparty congress but he could at least promise to veto anti core agenda legislation and force the opposition to come up with a veto proof super majority.

Trump could have shut down DACA with the stroke of a pen. The reason that it's blown up as it has is because he extended it 6 months and has been, at the very least, ambiguous about his intentions.

People want plain talk,...people want plain actions.

That's what Trump advertised,...that's what people voted for.

But to what effect? The courts have already ruled part of the program illegal, and barring action from Congress, the rest will likely follow when the states file their lawsuits. Trump has suspended the program for new applicants and renewals while Congress dithers. If nothing happens there, the courts will rule, and the Dreamers will become simple illegal aliens, subject to the enforcement efforts that have been significantly increased under Trump and Sessions, and we'll know where they live to boot. If Congress allows them to stay, then ICE can concentrate on the other 19.2 million.
