noticed on the calendar....

The first campfire member I ever met was Mickey. Drove up to his place and a whole pack of dogs came running out. He was down at the shop working on a rifle for someone. We talked a while then drove into town and ate lunch. As nice a gentlemen as you could ever want to meet.

Mickey was the first and only 'fire member I have met. I called him when I was in Greenville for a funeral and he invited me on over. We sat with the dogs while sipping coffee and covering a wide variety of topics. It turned out we had a couple mutual acquaintances. I only wish I had met him sooner, but it was his time to go and he was good with that.
