On a hillbilly whim, rather than loading up my jon boat and driving it to the back yard, I decided to see if my fishing magnet would pull it.
On a side note, this experiment was tested many, many, times before I let the chil'ren get close. The rope is super strong and the magnet is about 5 lbs.

I would have though the rope should have been bigger but it did work.
