Does any one else use one regularly? I bought a Merkur 23c after getting sick of Mach 3 razor blades costing a fortune. After a couple years of use, it qualifies as one of my better ideas.

I use my dad's old Gillette...only thing I've used for the last 20 years. I use a mug soap and brush as well.

I've got a couple of old Gillettes that I use. One was Grandad's. Others off of eBay. Sterilize 'em, get you a 100 pack of blades for $20, then call it good for the next 1-2 years.
I tried a few of the "shave creams" you whip up in a mug. Little bit of a pain in the rear. I just buy Edge shave gel (not those crappy foams) and call it good...

Been using an Edwin Jagger Kelvin razor and Feather blades for a few years now. Far better than a modern cartridge razor,

Use one every day. I would go broke buying these new multi blades.

I have wanted to try one for a while, but the initial cost for something I may not like stops me. I have read that they work best for those who shave often, daily. I shave weekly or bi-weekly, usually.
Do you safety razor users think one would work well for me, or are the best for the well groomed?

If I ever get the urge to commit suicide I may try one again.

The longest I've gone without shaving for many years would be about three days. It wasn't too rough to mow things down. It's my experience that they do work best if used every day, though.
