The Kid was a natural as far as steady. I let him use my Caldwell rest and bags to zero his 700/ .300 RUM. 5 shots. He put 5 in .650" at 100 yds.

I had never watched anyone shoot a Browning before, not many of them around where I come from.

A-bolts are utility rifles. They are not for making custom rifles. They work without having to buy or put money into it. I have an Abolt-II and it will put any factory soft point under an inch, some under 1/2 inch.

As far as the bolt goes, I can take it apart for cleaning in about 10 seconds with just a leatherman or a needlenose plier. The only problem is changing the ejector or the extractor.

An A-bolt isn't as robust as a model 70, but it's a good alternative for a light rifle.
