In case anyone is wondering, the guys at Fit 4 Duty were great. Can't wait to send 'em more.... I too can vouche for Doug and Bill bein' really fast, doing excellent work and all for a very reasonable price. I've zero complaints about the one rifle I've had them do so far (an M700,sniper gray also)and I can really dig the micro slick...Doug's right about needin' only patches...

Just got off the phone with Doug at Fit4Duty. He said to check out this thread and look at the two beauts. Good bear medicine for sure. The red n black looks good-subtle yet fiery.
Doug's shipping a rifle to me today. Had it coated graphite black and microslickemm'd. Was advised to use 50BMG and patches, no brass brush. Friendly person to do business with.

Brother Dave or Bill, what does the micro slick do to your barrel? Can it be applied to a barrel that has benn coated with the Black T?
That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

I like the closeups! The funny part is I don't even recognize that place. What happened to the snow?

Been snowless this hole R&R (so far). Can't say it bothers me any either! Was pretty springish yesterday, kept one eye on the beach for an early riser.....
Few more chores and I'm gonna see if I can't go yard a chromer from the crick.

I'd have to dig up the email to be sure, but I believe it was 70/15/15 Black/Orange/Red. The red/orange ended up blending together quite a bit, looks more like 70/30 black/orange to me.....

Bill, every time I look at your rifle I like it more and more, those colors look just like a fire.......Blake
P.S. I have also had Doug do some work for me and he is a great guy to work with.......Blake

www.fit4duty.usThey chime in around the 'fire on occasion. These are graphite black cerrakote, micro-slick internals and barrel bore.... Not trying to flame anything here, but thought I'd mention an exchange I had with George at GAP when spec'in my rifle last year. I had seen the fit4duty website and liked what I saw. Asked George about cerakote and micro-slick. He had no clue what Micro-slick was (or so he said at the time); I explained what I had read on their website about it and he acted like I was a fool for suggesting such a thing would be advisable. Again, not trying to start a flame here at all, but I'd like to hear the merits of Micro-Slick and I'd love to hear your experience with it. Nice looking rifles posted.

Wow, thanks. I think I like the cross better than the jolly roger, as long as the guy carrying it has earned the right.
Am saying it belongs in your hands but would not be fitting on one of my rifles.

I think I can like both of those, especialy the one with the Maltese on it. Gotta like the view of that deck also.

Bill, Did I make a faux pas? I see you took the cross down. I was complimenting the look.
Was also stating I have not earned the right to carry such an emblem of valor. I thought I remembered previous mention of you doing fire fighting work. I assumed from that you had earned the right.
Perhaps I made a mistake, or was not clear with the intention of my post.
Either way, I apologize.
