I posted awhile ago about whether to get a 22 mag or a 223. Decided to go with 223. Top two choices were Remington Model 7 or model 700. But, have been reading some posts about the NEF. I'm looking for a gun to mainly turkey hunt and maybe a coyote hunt. What do you guys think of the rifle? The $189 dollar price tag looks pretty good, if its a good rifle. Don't know a thing about them, so all opinions are appreciated.

Have a 30-30 "Topper" the predecessor of the Handi, very accurate shooter if you like single shots. Darn near bullet proof as well, no bells and whistles to break.

I have , 2/.223's, ..mag, 30-30 and a .270. The worst , WITH FACTORY AMMO is one of the .223' and it still will shoot <2" all day at 100 yds.
The second .223 will shoot Win 45 grn. hp's into a nickle. The 30-30 and the .270 both do better than .75".
All have had acceptable triggers that got better with use.
I bought a .243 that had a "loose" chamber with a long throat, factory exchanged for the .270 barrel, no questions asked.
I love mine, and I am looking into wildcatting one.
