Looking for a good shooting 7mm-08 bolt action for my 17 year old daughter . I would prefer a youth model since she is a petite little thing and I might would consider a 243 also .

I just got a Savage Axis youth compact model in 7/08 from Cabelas for my daughter, $199.88 and a $50 mail in rebate. They might be sold out by now but something to check on. If you're on a budget, that is. I would have preferred a higher quality rifle but for $150 and my tight budget, I couldn't pass it up.

How much were you thinking of spending? There is a M70 featherweight 7mm-08 for sale in the classifieds. I have a compact stock that I plan to put up for sale shortly. You would have both full and compact stocks then, but you’d probably be into it for some bucks

There is also a Winchester classic compact on Gunbroker for $675, but there is a muzzle brake on it. Don’t know if it is removable or not.
