Eh, depends on how you define it. I'm not religious so that doesn't factor into any of my political reasoning.

Example: I'm against abortion, but I'm incapable of having a human growing inside me (unless you count the baby-sized burrito dump I just took). I know at some point in the pregnancy but before the baby is born that the baby can survive outside the womb. That's certainly murder if you abort that baby. But like I said, I don't have the plumbing to squeeze out a kid and if I did and something like rape or incest happened who am I to tell a woman who got knocked up without her permission that she can't abort that kid? Now at some point that woman needs to have the kid because it can survive outside the womb and someone will adopt it and to abort it that late in the game is murder. Do I know exactly when a fetus can survive outside the womb? Nope. All I'm saying is if a woman is raped she should be allowed to abort, but at some point she needs to carry full-term because she has a human growing inside her. There's times when birth control in any form fails and up to a point the woman should be allowed to abort. Those are examples of things that don't go right.

Then there's the idiot teenagers that don't use any contraception. I'm not sure I want them to raise a baby while attending high school or earlier and having little to no money. I just don't have all the answers on it except to say IMO that anyone knocked up without their consent should have access because if I were a chick and got raped and was carrying the rapists' kid I'd abort. But at some point in all pregnancies, that kid can survive outside the womb and that is certainly murder to abort at that point. I don't believe killing off a few hundred cells that have the potential to become a human is murder. If I thought that, I'd cry at every skin cell I lose because it contains all my DNA, which is the needed component to potentially make a baby.

I don't know where that falls on your true conservative scale. I guess I'm half conservative, half libertarian and half idiot. Mostly, I'm a "small government, big people" person.

We're cut from similar cloth, I'm kind of a mutt...but it's consistent and fair.
