Just wondering! Tulu ammo. .223rem/62gr "zinc coated"fmj/steel case. Got a chance to pick some of this up pretty cheaply, but hesitant because of all the weird components. Its just plinker stuff, but wouldn't want to mess up a good rifle trying to save a buck (.24cents a round). Have never used Tulu ammo, think the case is poly coated. Would be running it thru an AR. Thanks,
G

I've used their 7.62x39 ammo and it's okay. Accuracy isn't worth a hoot beyond 50 yards but that could be the SKS I shoot with it too.

Tula is not the most accurate ammunition but it's fine for plinking. Most of it uses a bi-metal bullet which has some steel in it. This can cause some additional barrel wear if you shoot a lot of it. On the other hand, it is considerably cheaper than most other .223 ammo. You'll have to decide if that trade off works for you.

I stocked up on it for SHTF stuff, but usually shoot brass cased ammo through my AR.

Got lots of it in 7.62x39 for SHTF purposes also along with a lot of Wolf 7.62x39 for a couple SKS's . Been using that steel case stuff in 'em for over 20 years now. Go through 1 or 2 hundred rounds a year usually. It's also quite consistent over a chronograph. Had my first ever dud back on Sep. 20 of this year. It was a Tula.... Good firing pin hit, powder looked good....... Must have been a bad primer. But I can't complain cause the price is right and it's not exactly match grade ammo and just one bad one in over 20 years ain't gonna worry me too much.
