My wife and I were washing the dishes after lunch yesterday and on our back patio there were a couple of fox squirrels. They were playing and my wife said, "look how cute they are just playing with each other, I can't believe I like to eat them" This went on for a couple of minutes when all of a sudden one, apparently the male, proceeded to mount the other, hopefully a female, and just started going to town. My wife left the window saying, "I can't believe I just saw that." I just stood there laughing my butt off when the female decided to take off, but the male wasn't done yet. The female took off for the big cottonwood in back and proceeded to go up it, all the while the male is furiously doing his best to procreate and looked like he was succeeding! He held her in a bear hug up to the first big branch and she went onto that and he finally was finished. I was crying with laughter by the time it was done, I wish I had it on video, it would have been priceless.
