Killed mine Saturday afternoon in the Finger Lakes Region. The blood trail was sparse at best for the first 120 yards then it was unreal, 40 yards later there he laid. Used a Rage Hypodermic (gulp) broadhead for the first time. Probably stick with them........time will tell.

Best broadhead I have ever used for blood trails. Times in the past where I would have to be on hands and knees searching for a pin drop of blood, now I can finally follow blood trails at a brisk walk. I’m sticking with em myself.

Nice one Larry. Why no blood? Did you not get a pass through?
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Thanks..... The hit was a little high and no, it wasn't a pass through. The broadhead was stopped by the hide on the back side or I would like to think I would have got more blood, faster. His lungs must have filled up after the 120 yard mark and then it was like a garden hose. Also, his throat and mouth were all globbed up with coagulated blood. It was my first run with the Rage. I know my Viper Tricks would have passed through but at 53lbs I may be pushing it with the mechanical BH's.

I have no experience with them but I would guess you may be right about the bow weight. What is your total arrow weight?
