Well, its up to the parents to instruct and inform allegiance to the anthem and flag. If not, the bullcrap that passes for acceptable behavior will flourish. Let's all do our part.

When they kneel during the national anthem, they are not protesting the flag, or the military. They are protesting the country. They believe this country supports racism. They are absolutely wrong about that.
Even if it were true, it is the same country that gives them the right to make that protest, the same country that provided and supported the education that got them where they are, the same country whose bounty allows them to earn what they earn, and the same country that does not (as Thailand just did) jail people for making anti-government protests.
Freedom of speech is a right, but no rights are without responsibilities -- or consequences. If they think they are above those responsibilities and consequences, they are wrong about that, too.
Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

I never really much gave a damn about the NFL, this behavior just cements that opinion. Never spent much time watching games, I had other things to do. Still do.

I started watching pro football in the early '60s. Over the last 20+ years I have had less and less interest as the athletes have shown such bad sportsmanship. The end zone dances and constantly talking trash had me ready to give it up anyway. The take a knee fiasco just finished the deal.
