Anyone using a Leupold 1-4x20 VX-2 Riflescope
Thinking of putting one on my 35 Whelen I use as a brush gun for pig hunting, etc anyone use one and have low light experience? Yes. Well, it's a Vari-X II 1.5-4x20. And it's been a while since I've really used it in low light but I have no complaints. Neat thing is on 1.5x it's very easy to have both eyes open and take in the close up action when needed. I speculate that could be very helpful with pigs.

I have one on a JR carbine in 9mm and it’s just perfect. With old eyeballs it makes it easy to get small groups even at 100 yds.

Yeah, it's a good scope, good view, holds zero. Wish they made a fixed 2x but there's nothing wrong w. the 1-4.

For a small, light variable and FOV, I don’t know what els is out there even close, even for more $. I might get a second with a German #1 for drives.

Got one a year or so ago on sale for around $250. Sent it to the factory for a German #1 and then put it on a lightweight AR15 build. I love it. Can't tell any difference in my 200 yard groups from the standard duplex, and it's much better at close range.

I have one on my combination rifle/shotgun that I use for coyote hunting and it works great. Interesting I too have a combination .222/12ga for calling coyotes and it also has a vx-ii 1-4. Wonder where I bought the gun and who gave my the guidance on the glass. 😉 P.S. It’s still killing the crap out of coyotes, and targets of opportunity such as porcupines, raccoons and skunks.
