We are nearing the end of our Chukar season and boy has it been a good one. I counted 16 flushes during my last hunt of 4 1/2 hours. My dog has it really dialed in and is making me proud. Just nothing quite like walking down off the mountain with a vest load of Chukar and an excellent dog.

We have very little snow and the big game animals are staying higher than usual so they don't pose a distraction. I think our last two weeks of the season are the best. The birds are big, bunched up, not many hunters, and the weather is cool and damp.

How are you boys doing this season? Rick
