I've been looking really hard at the GPO Passion HD 10x42 bino. Anyone here have field experience with them yet?

I have a pair of the 8.5x50's and they have been great thus far with no issues. I wrote a review on them here on the forum some time back and I'm sure you could just search my post.

Thanks guys. Doug, do you think GPO will have the longevity to support them as the glass gets used and may need warranty work?

I do indeed. Mike Jenson, president of GPO, who was the president of Zeiss USA, is in this for the long haul. I have no concerns about GPO being here for a long time.
If you buy one and don't agree it's better than expected for the price we will take it back. Fair enough?

I've been eyeballing these too but have been waiting on some first hand reviews. I found a good comparison review on one of the birding forums a couple days ago. He compared it with Maven and Tract. http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=350823

According to that review you’re better off going with Tract as they’re the cheapest. Optically my guess is they’re all the same

They seem to be similar glass to the others but with maybe a bit higher build quality. There's some good deals on them right now floating around. I emailed GPO with a couple questions and got a quick, helpful email from the owner. Oh and congrats on the new the Binos!
