Bucks are still interested in chasing does on eastern Long Island...From last Thursday up until Monday afternoon I know of 4 really good bucks taken, three will make the book....two were on does at the time.

So you missed, no harm, no foul. Good thing you didn't wound him or you might not have finally got him. I missed a doe a couple of weeks ago with the slug gun. I didn't compensate for the bullet drop at the longer range and shot right under her. I wanted to kick myself in the ass, but that's hunting. I ended up killing a nice doe a couple of days later that I donated for a good cause. It's ML season now and I'm off all next week. Hopefully I can catch up with one of these 10 points that have been hanging around.
