I am in search of a CCDW pistol for wife. Prefer 9mm. Had her handle my Glock 42. Even with a grip extender she thinks the grip is too short. Glock 19 grip is too full. I was thinking one of the Kimber Micro 9's. As fate would have it, SIL gave oldest daughter a Micro-9 for Christmas. Wife tried that as well. Still no place for the "pinkie".
What other pistols are out there that have a longer (taller?) grip frame, but are still a thin single stack magazine ?

Kahr K9 or P9. I have 4.75 inch wide palms and can get a full grip on my K9.

I just looked at SA 's site, the XD with the hammer might be a nice option.

Any of the Kahr standard size 9mm's, but not the micro. Here is a CM9 (Concealed Micro): Then a CW9 with the standard size grip, it carries 7 + 1: It looks like the fingers are extending beyond the grip but they are on it fully. The magazine extender floorplate helps but isn't necessary. For width and length comparison, here is a CM9, a CW9 and a CW45 side by side. Here's the original thread those pics came from, there are a lot more pics of size comparisons between 9mm and .45 autos as well as some popular .38 and .357 revolvers. Original size thread

Picked up a Kahr CW9 recently. The little finger has room above the lip of the shorter 7-round magazine. I put the sleeve on the grip to give it a little more girth, it felt too thin to this long time double-stack Glock shooter.

CW9. Easy to conceal easy to shoot & all fingers fit unless you have Hulk hands.

I have xl hands and find the Ruger LC9s pro with the pinky extension on the mag allows for full hand grip and a compact gun that is easy to carry IWB.

Kahr CW9 for the win. I have several compacts and this is my favorite.

Get her a Shield. It’s a Glock19ish length grip but single stack. It comes with an extended magazine standard.
your flippant remarks which you so adeptly sling

If she isn't worried about an external thumb safety, she could try a commander or officer size 1911 in 9mm. Here's a link to all of Kimber's offerings: http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols/1911/9mm

Personally, I prefer my Glock 43, of course, but your wife would probably like the grip on the S&W Shield 9mm or Springfield XDS in 9mm with the extended magazine.
