I'm fortunate in that I own both a 629 Mountain Gun and a 625 Mountain Gun in .45 Colt.

They will NEVER leave the stable......will pass them on to mu children at the end!

I hear ya. My 625 .45 Colt will go to my bud. There will be no "sale".

I am now the proud owner of the 625-6 45 Colt Mountain Gun pictured above. I couldn't stand it, so I met with the seller and all of the MG's looked to be in un-fired condition. He has the guns only, no boxes etc. I'm not sure if I got the right caliber, but the 45 Colt was calling to me.

The seller was nice and easy to deal with. Said it was OK to link his ad here. He's located near Charlottesville, VA and has the MG's listed in our VAguntrader, see link below:

If anyone would like his direct contact info PM me. Actually, I just checked and he is a member on here and goes by the same name: maknwakes

Now I need to study up on handloading the 45 Colt Mountain Gun, get some dies and components.

Many thanks to everyone for all of the info and advice!

Thanks Kingston. I've been studying up on the 45 Colt. This is my first one and it seems I've made the right choice.

The most valuable are the .357 and .45 acp. The .45LC and .44 are most common.

No, wrong grips. But from S&W you can get some RB factory rubber grips that are similar size and have the logo molded into them.
