I ordered mine on Whittaker’s. Man, am I excited! I was going to buy a shotgun with Christmas money but now I went and bought a Leupold 1200i range finder, a Tikka T1X, and a Nikon 3-9x40 EFR AO scope for it!
Any update on the mounting rings? Will T3 equipment work? If I can order the same DNZ Game Reaper I have on my T3, I will order it and be ready to rock!
Is there an estimated shipping date (or month or quarter or year) in the T1X?
Thank you!

Update: Just met with my Tikka rep. No mags are on order. They've not listed the SKU yet. I'm sure that will happen in the next few weeks. He's also going to check on the mounting options. It's drilled/tapped/rail just like the T3X. He's checking on spacing. No stainless models will be available for 2018. He doesn't have knowledge on future availability.
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

This internet thing sure is expensive....
Looking forward to this, though; deposit sent. The T3 being what it is, am eager to see what tikka ginned up.

Just pulled the trigger on one of these. Can't wait. Now it's time to shop for a scope. Probably a 20 moa rail too as I'll be using this out to 200 yards. Wondering if anyone makes such a thing yet. I guess the search is on !

shortactionsmoker, do you have any information on the availability of T1x .22LR with 16" barrel? When you anticipate accepting pre-orders? Thanks!

I have two, 22 rifles already..... maybe I'll wait for ultra lite 17.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Awesome, when the left hand version comes out (hopefully next year) I'm buying one for my wife to go with her LH T 3 6.5x55. I have a nice LH CZ 452 but this new gun is going to be a huge hit.

T3 stock and trigger, pretty smart. Why reinvent the wheel?

I misjudged this offering. It appears that Tikka rifle owners will be a ready market for matching Tikka rimfires. Since I dont own a Tikka and not been impressed with the sako rimfire, my reception is little cooler. My Ruger experience was that the QC is un-acceptable. It is a great design, trigger and action. I ended up buying two before I was fully satisifed. The early issues include cockeyed sights and stock forearm rubbing the barrel. If Tikka can price match, match performance and up the QC, that should get it done. It will never be a beautiful walnut stock gun like Anschutz or CZ, but; they could provide stiff competition in the plastic class. The Tikka name, gives them a head start. All they have to do is "not mess up".
This maybe just me, but; I would thank that any plastic/synthetic stocked rifles would default to stainless. Rugged, all weather, I mean what is the point blue steel and plastic? Just cheap? It has got to me. If not stainless, then some miracle coating like they use on handguns. Not matt. Tough. Stainless does not even meed a finish. That should offset the small uptick in material or machining cost. Yea, I got a Ruger, I took what was offered.

Tikka Tupperware is quite a bit different than Ruger/Remington in my experience and QC spanks them both.
