looking for a Rem 700 or a custom.

I have a custom 7 SAUM that I have been debating selling. Very accurate rifle.
Stiller Tac 30 action
Extended Wyatts box
25" Rockcreek 8.5 gain Twist barrel w/ brake Rem Varmint contour
Reming trigger that has been worked on to be pretty decent set at about 1 1/2 lbs.
McMillan A3 Sporter Edge
30mm Burris Signature rings
I bought it used and the former owner said he had 200 rds down the barrel. I have shot less than 100. Maybe under 50. Berger 168's are amazing in this rifle. I had several loaded and wanted to just run several down the barrel. One ragged hole. Former owner used it to check scopes because the rifle is so accurate. I wanted to run 180's and couldn't find as good of accuracy. Quite frankly I never really liked the stock. I'm getting ready to put 2 .300 WM's up for sale. Too many rifles that I don't shoot. Just bought another last week and have another being built so I need to sell a few. Get me your cell and I'll send pics to you. I have debated keeping this rifle and putting it in a stock that I like better, but I have another custom 7 SAUM that I shoot a whole lot more. $1900 delivered in a cheap hard case including insurance.

Sounds like a nice rifle but I am looking for something a little lighter.

Cabelas Grandville, MI has a SS Rem 700 7SAUM in really nice shape for a good price. Can't remember it, but handled it last week and thought it a great deal and a like-new rifle.

I have a Remington 700 BDL SS sitting in a 700 TI stock i might consider selling if it fits your needs. It has a Nikon Buckmaster SF ( not new junk model ) 4.5-14x40 in black Talleys. Let me know if you want pics.
Also have at least four boxes of factory Remington ammo.

Rifle is about 8 1/2 lbs so its not a lightweight, but not 10 lbs either. Light weight stock helps... Good luck on your search. If you don't find what you want here you might try over on longrangehunting.com and on the snipers hide forums. Reasonably popular caliber on those forums.
