It is a 250 Savage. I used my 99 loads, 87 gr Speer. It was only about 35 yds and ran about same into the brush. Little guy was rutting hard, chasing does in a food plot. It was hard for her because he wouldn't hold still for long. Killed my first with a 250 in savage 99 using same load.

Those academy hunts are fun , have done 3 of them and killed deer on 2.Congrats to your daughter.
