Having been to a few Savage Fests, I thought I had seen everything; lawnmowers, washing machines, weight reducing devices and guns. Don't recall seeing a press before. That is cool.

The strAight 8 is a great press. Makes accurate ammo. It is forged steel, not cast iron.

Too bad there isn't a 12-Step program for this addiction! There is a 12 step, you buy twelve of them, and if you are not cured, you buy 12 more, repeat till cured.

The Savage Straight 8 press arrived today. It looks brand new. The box isn't exactly collector quality but I am very pleased with the purchase!
The 12 gauge press however did not survive a Fedex trip from Georgia to Florida. One of the mounting tabs on the base is broken off. The seller refunded my money so i guess I will shop around for another press or maybe luck into a damaged one with a good base.

Also have many parts for the shot press. I used the 12 gauge from 1970 to 1980. Others are recently acquired.
