Then we should be able to bankrupt Kroger, Dick's, and Walmart through age discrimination suits.

Nope. Gun owners are not a class of people recognized in the legal system.

Add BiMart to the list.

I just asked this same question on another forum.
If I was under 21 I would be seeking a lawyer.

Ha ha.

Dicks should be charged with age discrimination, and the bakery incident is the perfect example.

I don't have a problem with a business stipulating who they will sell to. It should be their right. But, when the courts say that they HAVE to sell to a certain party, then that throws that right out the window. I believe that if I own a business, and accept no public funding of any type, then it should be my right to run that business as see fit. If I don't want to sell guns to anyone under 21, fine.......but I should also have the right to refuse to bake a cake for queers, or rent my marriage hall out to queers.

Unfortunately, we live in a country that discriminates against people that believe like me. My thinking is simple.....if you don't like the way I do business, then go somewhere else and leave me alone. On the other hand, if I choose to make my business so restrictive, then I'm the one that's going to lose out.

In a perfect world, I fully agree.

But in the reality, the leftist agenda has forced us to live in a world far less than perfect. I for one am eager to use their rules and their tools to our advantage.

I was in Bi-mart, Ontario Or today. There is a big sign up on the gun counter: "No sales of firearms or ammunition to anyone under 21 years. Appropriate ID required."

I guess I will no longer be shopping at Bi-Mart.

https://www.bizjournals.com/portlan...yer-and-bi-mart-are-raising-the-age.html

Two Pacific Northwest grocers signed on Thursday to the growing number of corporations that have announced they will end sales of firearms and ammunitions to people under 21 years old.

Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., the nation's largest supermarket operator, announced Thursday morning that it would raise the age limit for gun purchases from 18 at its Fred Meyer stores, and Eugene-based grocer Bi-Mart followed suit later in the day.

Kroger sells guns at 43 Fred Meyer stores in Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Idaho. The company said that it ended the sales of "assault-style" weapons at stores in Oregon, Washington and Idaho several years ago and it will halt sales of those weapons at the remaining 11 stores in Alaska. As part of an effort already underway prior to this announcement, Kroger said it is also cutting back on the space it devotes to gun sales within its stores, citing "softer demand" and "changing consumer preferences."

"In response to the tragic events in Parkland and elsewhere, we’ve taken a hard look at our policies and procedures for firearm sales," a statement from Kroger reads. "We follow all state and local laws regulating the sales of sporting-related firearms at our select general-merchandise Fred Meyer stores. Recent events demonstrate the need for additional action on the part of responsible gun retailers."

A statement from Bi-Mart Thursday afternoon said the company is also raising the age limit for buying firearms and ammunition to 21 in Bi-Mart stores and Cascade Farm and Outdoor stores, which it owns. Bi-Mart operates 77 stores in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

Bi-Mart said it has never stocked AK or AR rifles or bump stocks, and it does not sell high capacity magazines.

"In recent weeks we, along with many members and our neighbors in retail, have paid close attention to the national discussion regarding firearm sales," a statement from Bi-Mart said. "We agree with many policy makers and our peers that increasing the age limit to 21, in order to purchase a firearm, is a step in the right direction. In support, Bi-Mart and Cascade Farm and Outdoor stores, a division of Bi-Mart, will only sell guns and ammunition to those 21 or older that meet state and federal requirements for purchasing firearms. Our goal is to support responsible firearm use and make a positive contribution to the local, regional and national discussion of this issue."

A wave of retailers announced similar policies this week in response to the shooting in Parkland, Fla. that killed 17 people and other recent mass shootings, including Dick's Sporting Goods and Walmart.

The baker in question had sold cakes to queers before and still had no issue with selling cakes to them
his issue was that they wanted him to provide a cake decorated as a... 'gay wedding cake'

In other words if they just wanted a cake with no such specific decoration , he would have supplied it,
he would have also sold them the necessary ingredients to have the cake decorated elsewhere (as a gay wedding cake).
but he would not provide a 'finished product' gay wedding cake.

So like it or not, the baker was effectively still highly willing to contribute to make a gay wedding cake possible.

which made:
the gay couples discrimination claim questionable
and
made the bakers christian value stance claim questiionable.
