How many of you shot one of your hunting guns today? What were you shooting at, targets or game? What gun and caliber? How many rounds fired? Just curious how much people get out and shoot. Pictures are a plus if we can see them.

Shot five rifles yesterday. Neighbor wanted to know what the "boomer" was. It was a 20" .350RM and I'd worked up some pig loads for my dad, being the 180ttsx over H335. It shot well. Shot a 30-06 sps 700ss for a friend after I bedded/floated it. Fusions nearly cut one big hole now. Shot my truck gun at 400yds to check POI. 21" 700ss .243 with 105hpbt. So easy to hit with. Zeroed a new-to-me Bergara HMR in 6.5 Creed that shows promise. Fun couple of hours.....
Now with even more aplomb

I was able to pick up a Tikka T3X 7mm-08 early last week based on the forum recommendations. All week I worked up various loads to try out and was able to get out to the range today. I took the Tikka, my Colt 6920 and my CZ 455 varmint .22. I shot 45 rounds total with the Tikka but he leader was with Nosler 120 gr ballstic tips and 45 grains of IMR 4350 but still plenty of testing to do. With the CZ i tried a bunch of different ammo but great luck with Lapua Center X. One group of 5 shots was a single ragged hole at 50 yards. I will try to figure out how to post pics
Edit - it say it says my phot file type is blocked. Took the pics with my iPhone.

Shot yesterday with my kid. Shot a bunch of .22, a box of 30-30, 25 or 30 45-70, and some 7mm-08. The 30-30 and the 45-70 was mostly at 200 yards, the 7mm was out to 300 yards and was actually shot from inside one of ground blinds. So, it was very realistic practice.

No pics, but shot the #1RSI .257 Roberts and the 77 RSI .250-3000. Found a load for the 250 with the Hornady 110 gr. FTX that seemed to have promise. Chronic went T/U, so I don’t know how fast but it groups nicely.

On Wednesday I ran 50 rounds through my 243 AI, 70 or so through a pair of ARs, 50 17HMR Ruger, and 25-ish through one of my 7-08s.

Me and my boy did some shooting this afternoon after church. I have him going on the Marlin .30-30 now, and he did quite well with it. I shot the .30-30 and the .30-06. We also shot our AR-15, and our favorite, the Henry .22. It was funny watching my boy get adjusted to the trigger on the AR. I believe he learned a lot today. We had a blast!

How many of you shot one of your hunting guns today? Got 8” new snow today, and still coming down, on top of the previous 107” since November... didn’t shoot today.

No snow here. I guess it would have been a day to check wind drift with gust to 30. I get tired of the wind as it can ruin even a nice day. I did get out yesterday and gunned a couple of Armadillos with my 221 Fireball.

1500rds+ since yesterday. Have cool temps and little wind,so left a wagon load of wares in my crummy, for atmospheric extrapolation at ambient,as applied to knowed DOPE. Standard fare: 223 Gassers,223AI boltguns,6BR,6 Kreedmire(both Light and Heavy)243Win SALAMI(Gasser),6-284 LFB,6 Twat-Six,6.5 Kreedmire(Barrett)7-08 SALAMI(Heavy) and 6.5 Twat-Six. Flogged on some new Rimfire wares,to fine tune a 317 Airlite 3" and a Garrow 17 Hummer...as well as Anschutz 54's and Vudoo too. Reloading Frenzy tonight,to refuel 6BR,7-08 SALAMI and 6.5 Twat-Six mainly. Was also R&D'ing some new PVA 6BR bindered AICS mag guts, against my Primal mainstays today. Am at ease with either/both,in both AICS and AM bindered mags. Nice way to fly. Hint. Garrow 17 Hummer gas cracks me up,but runs like a fhuqking top. Google it. Did away with the issued Hogue FF tube and opted Radical, for ergo's. Needed to radius the block, due the trite gas tube encroachment, but no thang. It ain't goin' anywhere. With luck, the atmosphere will hold and Mail will cooperate,GAP glass arrives tomorrow with the KYL(small) targets and another Krunchenticker kit. GOTTA peel the 16x MQ offa the BMFOTP and let 'er breathe, with a 10x MQ for the win. On a purty good BR kick,so might GAP Glass my Heavy 6BR up,but am already hating the fhuqking modest erector travel inherent. Was stretching 40.5 Mils of ele today, ala 'Schutz 54 and groovin' on the results. Google it. Don't see me sleeping in...film at 11:00. Hint.(grin)

Shot my 6.5 WSM yesterday, round 2 of load work up. Only have about 40 rounds down it and so far am very happy with it Today was the 147 eld-m over s stout dose of r26 for 3248fps average with as of 6.8. The rain trashed my targets but I managed to save my last group. The one out of the group was the fouler on a clean barrel. It’s showing promise.

Shot a little this week. 6 Dasher, .223AI and .22lr today.
Let a guy shoot the Anschutz at 400+ today and thought the smile on his face couldn't have got any bigger, until I had him shoot the .223AI at 550 with a 6x MQ.
Always cool to see the lightbulb come on.
