Looking to buy an enclosed trailer in the 16'to 20' range to haul a side x side and throw a cot up at night to sleep in. Can't decide on the 7' wide or should I go 8 1\2' wide. Any one have any advice or what to watch out for. Thanks for any help.

I went steel and 7 wide. I didn’t want to fight the fenders inside the trailer. After I had a blowout I decided I’d never get an aluminum. There isn’t as much weight difference as I thought there’d be.

Get one that will track with your pickup if you can. It'll be easier to handle on rocky roads. Inside wheel wells can be a bother but the wider walls give you extra room. Getting in and out of the sxs is much easier with wider walls, too.
