If your selling them cheap, theres always interest.

The Sako Deluxe rifles are still quite marketable among us older guys who know and appreciate them. Figure $1,200-$1,600 each, depending upon condition and perhaps caliber.

Thanks Biebs

You could have said $600-800 depending on condition, which could be true

dang, now we are going to have to pony up

I have one in 22ppc, pretty gun. Not for sale. I agree with the above stated value, but condition is everything.

I have a number of Sako's Deluxe and standards.

Had 2 deluxe for sale here. .243 and .375 H&H. Both near excellent and not fired much. Got about $ 1200.00 each in a package deal. Couldn't sell here. Probably 16-20 Months ago.

Good luck.

4 or 5 years ago I would have agreed with this value range. It doesn't seem to be the case today. Within the last few weeks I bought a very nice Dlx, Pre-70, and appears unfired for $950 shipped. Apparently there aren't as many of us old guys who appreciate them as there used to be. Mine is in 30-06, probably the most common chambering. I would think the 25-06, if in nice condition, should bring good money, but I'm not really sure now what good money is in this market.
Take care all,
Rick

P.S. The one I bought has a "new" factory peep on it, which at one time would bring a couple hundred dollars I think.

I have to agree with you on that... there are plenty of them for sale in that range 1200-1500 that are not selling at all.

Of interest, more for me would be one that had a different engraving on the bottom other than the antelope...

I had a lot of guys tell me they would not care to hunt the deluxe rifles . So they are going in the safe. I had hunted my .243 Deluxe and had one that was a bit nicer, which I sold . I think hunters prefer the standard rifles.

I have had several with different floor plate, deer , tree , etc.

Peeps bring a hundred dollars. I have had a dozen. kept one .

I had posted old ads for deluxe rifles for examples. I don't futz around with auctions , GB or such.

Have bought another Sako Deluxe in .375 H&H with 2 boxes ammo at GS in Northern , Wi. last 3-4 months. Was for sale at about $ 12-1300.00 . Just before I left , after looking at said rifle couple times , made a offer of $ 900.00 .....and before I could escape , offer was accepted.

I will keep this one.

Does it matter much on the variety of Sako? As in L61R - AIII - AV...?

I believe it matters more on the vintage. The L61R was an earlier rifle than the AV. Similar parallel in the Vixen and Forrester sized actions.

I don't think they're actually for sale; its more of a show and tell.

I sold a 7 mag not all that long ago for $1200. They are really nice rifles!

Dennis.

Those who call magazines "clips" and cartridges "bullets" ought not to be taken seriously. Jeff Cooper.
We might add those who call bullets "boolits.
