Very nice 1100, 16 gauge, 28 inch modified, plain barrel. Very few small marks on nice walnut stock, bluing excellent. Any thoughts on value?

You might go to 16ga.com Lots of knowledge there about 16 ga guns.

These just aren't very popular owing to their size and weight. You might find the right person wanting it quickly or you might sit on it for a long time, but there won't be many of them if any. Pricing this is not so much "What's it worth?" and very much more so a function of how long you want to wait to sell it.

Unless someone wants a heavier gun on a 12ga frame, so that it kicks less, the 1100 16ga is considered a wasteful exercise on the 16ga by Remington. Sorry to say, because they’re generally decent guns, they should’ve been built on upsized 20ga frames.

Was at a auction a month ago and watched a guy pay $1150 for one . Then he paid $1100 for a Sweet Sixteen . This probably was the exception and not the rule . The people who like them really like them

Thanks for the input, keep it coming. I am not stuck with this because they are sought after and bring a good price. But I traded for it because I liked it and like 16 gauges.

Plain barrel ones bring 400-550 based on condition. However vent rib models bring twice sometimes 3 times that amount, the barrels alone with vent ribs fetch 3-4 hundred in the 16ga

Sounds about right. I traded on it at around 550-600.But it is nice, shot very little. Nice companion to my like new condition 11-48 16. Just seeing if I got hurt, but anything is only worth what you or someone will pay.

I just bought a newer 1100 in 16 gauge the Classic field . Vent rib screw in chokes really nice. I love the 16 gauge for squirrel hunting!

I practically stole my 11-48 16ga, 28" vent rib modified choke at a gun show for $325, wood wasn't the best but it refinished to looking amazing. Another one of those deals late in the show, that made me shake my head why it was even still laying on the table, most of the time if its a deal it doesn't last 30 minutes, let alone the dealers cherry picking the night before when they set up. I also got a 1100 16ga like you speak of at a gun show for 450, plain barrel and I was happy with that
