I thought they had strict gun control laws in Canada? I'm 100% 2A, but this being the first on-duty offercer shot in 25 years, makes your statement pretty silly

According to the article, the guy had already committed, armed robbery and a carjacking. Too bad the store and the car owner were not able to defend themselves,not able to own a pistol, the Officer might, not have had to do much, but the paper work?
