I have been researching an optic for my Winchester SE in .375 H&H. I am hoping to find a good used one, because I am cheap. I am not set on a certain brand but 30mm tube, IR, and German reticle are a must. If you have one you want to part with, or can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

If you are going all that way to Africa, maybe you should think about a new scope. I have the same issue but my trip is to Alaska. If you called Leupold’s custom shop, they should be able to give you a made to your specs scope. AND, you will know the scopes history.

It would kind of suck to be out in the African bush and have your scope go belly up, because it went through 2000 rounds of a .416 Rigby before it got to you. Just a thought.

RAS, that is a good point. I have been saving a long time for this. I bought a used (like new) rifle but optics may not be an item to go cheap on, despite my natural cheapskate tendencies that allowed me to save for an Africa hunt. Thank you.

I took a Trijicon 3x9 with a red triangle lighted reticle on my .375 H&H.....
shot a black wildebeest late one afternoon in the shadows....
sure was glad I had a reticle I could see against his black hide...

I have a Schmidt & Bender 1.5 x6x42 with an Illuminated recital,L9,,,,, This was on my muzzleloader,inline,,,20 maybe 25 shots,, I decided i needed more power.. Glass is 100%,, has some rings marks.... I have the original box and all the paper work that came with it... Pm if interested....

Bought a used Euro Diamond as a back up scope. Will be going new for the primary optic. Thanks all.
