I bought a Mark 6 3-18x44 with the M5C2 turrets and TMR reticle. Here's a short overview of the features of the scope, and an admittedly, obviously, poorly designed and executed tracking test that nonetheless was rather illuminating.

Really nice video. I like the way you shot it without dialogue. My buddy bought the same model.

So a top of the line Leupold has a canted reticle?...., hmm where have we heard that before?

I would be mad as hell if I spent $2500 for a scope and it was a POS.

Sending a scope in for repairs from New Zealand, bet that is neither cheap or quick.

Probably neither, no. Not wildly impressed with Leupold on this one.

Ain't "wonky" the correct term from that area of the planet when something is a POS.

Return that mofo and get ya self a night force or a swfa for way less that works

The Lord of the rings..... aka leupold gold ring scopes are notorious non dialers
Even if ya send it back , it is just gonna get progressively worse if ya continue to dial it.

Spending 2500 clams on something that needs to be sent back for repair is ridiculous.
Jmo.....

Fortunately, I only spent $1850 (US) on it! Which is still enough money that a wonky reticle shouldn't happen.

Not keen on a NF or SWFA, since it's replacing a 3-12x50 S&B PMII for the purpose of losing a bit of weight and gaining some magnification for use assessing deer antlers at long distances (so I can leave the spotting scope at home). No NF except the 2.5-10 is even as light as the PMII. SWFA isn't an option.

What are your plans with that PMII

It also may go back on my .260, if the Mk6 continues to be a dud

Well the MK6 has gone back to Leupold (at my expense). Hopefully it comes back 100%. Anyone has a scope repaired by Leupold? How long did it take?

I am sure it will be repaired within 2 weeks

Pretty sorry excuse for a scope from an otherwise reputable manufacturer to have to go back for something this idiotic. It smacks of poor design and even worse QC. Push overpriced crap out the door and then warranty them later on. That is obviously Leupolds business model . I am old enough to have read and glossed over the beautiful ads Leupold used to put in outdoor magazines . Once I was out of school and working it was a brand I strived to own and I did . I was one of their faithful customers for over 30 years, that is the only brand I would buy with the occasional Blurris(sic),Bausch and Lomb, Zeiss or Swaro thrown in. Truly sad to see this happen.

another mark 6 with a tracking problem this time you actually see it. lets also keep in mind the leupold mk6 is not a cheap scope. its marketed and sold as something a military operator would use.

Honesty time.
I have several Leupolds, have used them since the 70's, & still like them. But a reticle with that much cant, in a scope in that price range, is more than just BS. The serious nature of some intended purposes of the scope makes it double BS.

If you're reading.... get on the flippin ball, Leupold.

How’s that for turnaround time; the MK6 arrived at Leupold on Monday and shipped back to me today. Haven’t received anything to say what they did though... not sure if that’s normal?

Swarovski. Great optics, excellent tracking and superb service (if ever needed). You get what you pay for. If you're gonna lay out a couple large, buy a Swaro.

Swarovski don’t make a scope with the features I like - they have no FFP, turrets that are a massive pest to set, MOA not MIL, etc. I am replacing a S&B PMII with the Mk6
