I have wondered about that myself. I’ve had a couple hang up in the brass.

I myself make sure it's all out of the brass and flask holes, a quick visual inspection make sure that. I wouldn't think shooting steel pins down your Barrel after they got heated up from the round going off would do your Barrel any good.

I imagine it would do more harm than running a cleaning rod down the barrel a few times. :-)

It might just stay in the case since the pressure would be around the pin and not behind it,more or less neutralizing it.A bullet exits the case due to higher pressure behind it and lower pressure in front of it.If you match the pressure in front and behind a object it won't move.
