Nothing, I'll take that as "they suck" and move on!

Off the top of my head I think your right - They're relatively new, dependable, accurate, & good ergos,
but nothing grounbreaking about them - and offer less than many other previous models.
It's a heavy, full sized pistol: a duty/service firearm.

One acquaintance thought they were kinda clunky.

I handled one in a store a while back and the first thing I noticed was how heavy it felt. I seem to remember that it fit my hand well and had some nice features though.

I can't speak for them personally as I haven't played with them. I do have a couple of friends who are pretty reluctant to buy the black plastic guns, but they are both pretty happy with the Ruger American Handguns. These came after the SR series which I don't have any problems with. I do think they bring out too many models and the American was one. But I have never heard anything negative about them. You might ask on the Rugerforum.com

CDNN had a pretty good price on them.

I have all calibers in both SR series and American series. Love and respect them all. The best. Wallacem in Ga
