I have for sale a 1981 Marlin Original Golden 39A, with JM stamp, and Micro-Groove barrel. I am at least the second owner and I bought it from a LGS about 6-7 years ago. It is in very good condition, with an excellent bore and the bluing is conservatively 95%+. The wood has several dings and dents typical of use (see pictures) and sling swivels were added by a prior owner. I added a Skinner rear sight that works with the factory front sight. I will include the factory rear sight and sight hood (a dovetail blank is currently in place of the factory rear sight). The receiver is factory D&T'd for a scope mount.

I would like to get $750 shipped in a new plastic hard case, but I am open to reasonable offers.

The only trades I am interested in are a Glock 43 + cash, or an S&W M396. Hurts to let this one go, but I just don't shoot it much and I'd like to see it go to someone who will use it. I accept Paypal F&F or add 3%, Venmo, and USPS MO. This is crossposted to other forums

Considering the condition and the fact that Skinner sight is worth $80 new -with shipping included- that's less than $550 for the rifle alone..

Anyone in the market for a pre-safety Marlin M39 needs to take a hard look at this one.
