I was fortunate to meet General Yeager at DSC several years ago. One of the high points of my life to meet and shake hands with my boyhood and A true American hero. Porsche 73

He's pretty much done unfortunately, but when I first met him back in 2007 he was still full of it (and himself, a malady a lot of us suffer from) and was giving me and my buddy (the tall one in the picture) a bunch of fun stuff USAF V USN stuff, to which I replied, "but how many traps does the General have?" he said a few four or five, well we said, I have just shy of six hundred and my friend about the same" and most of them at night... The General smiled. From then on, every year I make it a point to go and shake his hand and salute him, even though we're indoors and only AF pukes and doggies do that, but I figured he rates it
