If you believe anarchy in the US is inevitable:
What do you think the initiating event will be and when will it occur?
How long will it last?
What will be the eventual outcome?
Whatever doesn't kill you will make you stronger. Right up until it kills you.

Well the 'event' has already happened but few Americans were cognizant and fewer cared ....or else they hid there heads in the sand because they could not do much.
There will be no huge event galvanizing ordinairy folks to "do something". Just a slow 'frog in the heated water pot' death of a once promising nation and people.Jim

If you believe anarchy in the US is inevitable:
hmmmm,.... dunno,... but I'm willing to meet it halfway. I could be happy with 50% of the government we have now,.... and 50% of the taxes.

Yes, I think and fear that 'anarchy' is possible in the good ol' US-of-A.
With Global Warming, whose radiant rays are soon to cause undo stress and tension upon the Religious/Political Ideologue You-Know-Who's- along with a Centralized Government which has by then become totally inept, intolerant, and impotent - and who will cow-tow to the deranged demands of the aforementioned fanatics ...
... We will soon see Wanton Witch hunters, Rampant Republican Renegades, Virility-Pilled-Up Vigilantes, and Anonymous Assorted Assassins ...
... all, comin' after me.

I hope that the $hit does hit the fan in this country... This country is long over due for a giant enema... I used to think that I'd participate in the 2nd wave because, historically the first dissenters are all wiped out... But I'm in if there is a Washington or Jefferson type that steps up...God put our Founding Fathers together at the right time, back in the 1700's...He'll do it again when needed...

I'd think it will, by way of one or more well placed nukes, and maybe an EMP. (Would a plane get one high enough to do major damage to infrastructure?) I don't foresee anarchy though. We're way too far down the slippery slope. I'd say rather a fascist totalitarian state, with lots of control. We got enough high-tech-snoop-out-the-enemy-of-the-state gadgets to make Hitler and Mussolini drool in envy! Plus we've got a generation of kids nearly trained through publik Skools. Nah, I'd think our Jihad Pals, courtesy of our wide open borders, will take out a city or three, with nukes courtesy of Iran, or some other WMD. The Gubmint initiates stringent lock down of travel, nationwide firearms confiscation, and RE-EDUCATION centers for the membership of sites like this. Those of us too far gone to be re-taught like Orwell's buddy Winston will be quietly "eliminated". After all, it's for the children. 7mm

They can try the firearms confiscation, will create a civil war, and I am pretty sure they would lose. The Military will not back them that far. What does that leave them, a bunch of Liberals scared schietless of guns. I'll grab my girls and head for the hills if it comes to that. Les

will create a civil war, and I am pretty sure they would lose Too many townspeople, not nearly enough Gary Coopers. Besides, our military has enough bad arsed stuff to take out the trash, should the gloves come off. It'll be the young adults in the military and skools now who will ultimately determine the fate of our Republic. I can only hope we did a better job training and teaching them than I think we did. 7mm

Hate to put it this way, just like they are losing to insurgents. I love the Army, I really do, gave it 10 years of my life, but they are not set up for a guerilla war. They cannot handle it. The gubbermint(Liberals) won't let them take the kids gloves off for that. Les
