I have finally come to the sad conclusion that I won't get around to using this any time soon. My primary shooting interests right now are precision long-range, and my chances for using a good hunting rifle soon are few and far between. What few chances for it that my schedule will allow will easily be filled by a Bighorn TL2 switch barrel setup I have. And I've also come to grips with the fact that this rifle will see precious little use in my hands. The stock figure is just far too amazing for me to ding it up, and so I post it here, hoping to find a new home for it.

Look at the photos and judge for yourself whether this is a rifle you need/want or not. The figure is utterly gorgeous, beyond my ability to put it's beauty into words, really. And this is a model of which very few were imported. Truly a good catch for someone who wants a rifle that will turn heads everywhere you go! It oozes class at every turn, from the incredible grain, to the curvy figure and lines of the stock (schnabel fore end and European drop comb), to the jewelled bolt, to the deep, uniform bluing. This also has the set trigger that CZs are known for. All in all, one helluva package!

The rifle comes as pictured. No box or papers, I'm afraid. The only mark I can find is from the first owner, when another rifle in his safe tipped over and put a tiny mark on the right side of the forearm.

I'm starting the asking price at $1500 shipped for the rifle alone from me to your FFL. If I need to ship from my FFL to yours, please add $50. I'm open to reasonable offers. I can also offer a like-new SWFA SS 3-9x42HD mildot scope w/ sun shade and Butler Creek caps, plus Talley 30mm rings for an additional $550. Payment to be made via USPS MO or PayPal gift. I can offer references to various other forums and auction sites if you so desire. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks!

Honestly, I've never fired it, so I have no idea. Prior owner said he put a box through it and it shot great, but that's the best I can offer. I've never owned a CZ550 that wouldn't shoot though, including multiple FS models. If I have to mount a scope and shoot it for it to sell, then I'll probably just wind up keeping it, haha.

Had a few questions:

1) Weight is right at 7.2lbs.

2) Barrel is 23.6" long.

3) Twist rate is 1:12.

4) I don't have a trigger pull gauge, but standard feels about 4lbs with a tiny touch of creep, and the set trigger is in the ounces with no creep.

As for trades, I'd consider a Bushnell LRHSi 4.5-18x44 in mils (many folks have snagged one at $750 from GAP, which is the trade price I'd value the scope at), Bushnell LRHS 3-12x44 in mils, a CZ550FS in 6.5x55 (straight trigger and solid recoil pad only), CZ527FS in .223 (1:9 twist w/ straight trigger and solid recoil pad only), S&W 686 (value dependent on which model), Beretta 92G Elite II, Beretta 87BB, or a Kestrel 5700 Elite w/ Applied Ballistics and Bluetooth LiNK (prefer tan). Cash to be added where appropriate. Thanks!

Basher,

IF this was a left-handed rifle, it would be mine.
(YES, they make that rifle in LH but VERY seldom with such furniture.)

yours, tex

There are two trigger styles CZ has used in the past. On older models, the trigger was more of a traditional "hook" style trigger. Newer models have a trigger that has much less curvature to it. Shoot me a PM if you're interested and we can exchange photos and such. Thanks!
