Been there! I kept the 7mm-08. It’ll do all I need it to do. I’m not bad-mouthing the Creedmoor, I just like the 7mm-08 more!

There is a very good chance that your 6.5 Creedmoor T3x will shoot as accurately or maybe even better with a few different types of factory ammo than your 7-08 does with handloads. This means you don’t have to spend anything on reloading components unless you just really want to.

On game, there won’t be a bit of difference between them under 600 yards. If you like to shoot animals beyond that, then thinking about keeping just the Creedmoor and buying components for it starts to make some sense.

What could be a sadder way to end a life than to die having never hunted with great dogs, good friends and your family?

I have lots more, but you get the idea.

No flies on the “inherent accuracy” (whatever that means) of the 7mm-08.

If you are compelled to sell one rifle then take them both to the range and see which one feels right and shoots best. Both calibers will get the job done in most hunting situations.

Keep them, buy more, you don’t have near enough rifles!!! I have two Creedmoor’s, and a 7mm-08. You can’t have too many rifles!!!

If you plan to handload from here on out, then keep the 7-08. If you're bored with it, then the 6.5 will get you better stuff off the rack. And it's just getting better as far as I can see.

That's the deal maker or breaker, IMHO.

It sounds like living in Ohio you won't get much opportunity to hunt with either gun without travelling out of state. If you're not going to haul 2 rifles along it makes sense to sell one. Since you're all set up for the 7-08 it should be a pretty easy choice.
Or not. smile

Nice groups. I like BG, too.

You should be on a retainer from Ramshot Powder Co, or getting a commission for all the BG you're selling... grin

It is a great powder; Ramshot powders are about the slickest thru a powder measure of any.

Had a 6.5 creedmoor for 1 year. Loved it!!!

It was like dating a dead on hot ass chic, problem was 'she' was too high maintenance....in terms of reloading. Everything was in short supply around here and for me that was enough to get sent down the road. (you're not going to stand in my stable while I'm scrounging for the 'hay' you like on my dime and not get ridden). Went back to a 7mm-08 early this year and very glad I did.

Both great cartridges IMO. Maybe keep your 6.5 creedmoor until supplies loosen up, but a 7mm-08 is an awesome work horse that isn't too picky about what you feed it.

This makes way too much sense.

Turn in your Looney Card too....

I've got (2) 7-08's and (2) creeds. Why not? I may sell one of the creeds
