Dang, I'm all ready getting the itch for deer season! Seems the older I get, the more I miss time in the woods. Can't wait for archery to open up. Hardly ever run across anyone out in the woods, unless it's a bird hunter or something like that. Fishing's a ton of fun, but it's just not the same sitting on a crossing watching the world wake up first thing in the morning. Hoping to spend more time up in the Alex area this fall developing some new spots.

Have a good summer guys.

strange for me to hear Alexandria referred to as a destination that is "up". I suppose it is kind of in the middle of the state, so it would be "up" for probably the majority of our state tho.

I guess when I was a kid, Duluth used to be "up north" too. lol.

Now I'm by the Canadian border and Tuktoyaktuk is "up north". (I believe that's a decent motorcycle destination)

When I was in WI everyone was always going "up north." It always made me chuckle. You could go as far north in WI as you wanted and wouldn't be up north as far as I was concerned. I grew up north of Duluth about 10 miles. So, "up north" didn't start until at least Eveleth. grin

I've walked some of Tom's stomping grounds. Some damned beautiful land up there. It sure beats the strip mines and 100 acre farms I grew up in in Northeast Ohio.

Dang Tom, what is the fish in pic #3?! That thing is a brute.
