A colonoscopy is easy peasy!

The worse thing about a colonoscopy is having to take the clean out meds...;
The best thing about a Lower GI is having to take the clean out meds!

The procedure, especially on Michael Jackson Juice, is easy. You're gone, then you wake up ... that's it.

Have one coming up on Wednesday. Not really looking forward to it, but not fretting. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Or crapping in a bag for the next 40 years. Been through the prep three times. There are more pleasant things, but it’s not that big a deal.

I eat regular with sugar Jello. It is considered a "clear liquid" as long as you do not eat Jello that is red, orange or purple as that can mess up the "view". You only have to be NPO for about 6 hours prior to the actual exam. What I do is skip the meds that morning and take my evening meds as scheduled. This will not mess up your sugar control much because you will not be eating.

There is one thing that makes it much easier. 7 years ago I had a regular one. The doc says oh oh there is something that needs a closer look.

Had surgery on a stage 3 colon cancer. It tends to get your attention. Regular scopes at 6 mos, 1 year 2 years. Then every 3 years.

Was declared cancer free 1 year ago. Having the scope now is no sweat. The last liquid I had was less than a gallon and tasted much better.

It was done in 2 settings. I found beef broth much better than chicken broth.

That burger needs green chilies. Hard to catch crab in CO.

This about says it all.

The hardest part for me was the fact that I had my first at the hospital I worked at - bit embarrassing. My second, ten years later, was at a different hospital and a new much better (easier) prep went very smoothly.
