The FTZ adapter is amazing.

Enabling the use of nearly any Nikon F-mount lens on Z-mount mirrorless camera bodies, the FTZ Mount Adapter is a sophisticated means for expanding the range of usable lenses. While compatible with approximately 360 distinct F-mount lenses, this adapter is especially ideal for use with over 90 E, G, and D-type lenses, where it fully maintains autofocus and auto-exposure capabilities for seamless use of the SLR lenses on the mirrorless body. The adapter, which is built from magnesium alloy and is weather-sealed, also incorporates a 1/4"-20 mount on the base to provide a more balanced means for working on a tripod with longer, heavier lenses.

Lens Compatibility
Full AF/AE supported when using:
AF-S type G/D/E lenses
AF-P type G/E lenses
AF-I type D lenses
AF-S / AF-I teleconverters

I'm going to need two of the Z7's and the Z mount to F mount adapters.
Specs on those are going to give Sony some real competition.

Any ideas on what the max time limit is on video recording?
Only thing that I don't like about my D Series SLR's is the ten minute maximum.

Haha, I don't doubt that. You are more than knowledgeable and I'm certain a welcomed asset to Doug.

I especially like the 90% AF point coverage on the Z7. The new 500mm should be a winner too. Now to sell a kidney or start a GoFundMe page wink

I especially like built-in vibration reduction as none of my lenses have that feature.

I especially don't like the price. smile

Nikon was smart to start at the top and match up with 2 successful Sony cameras. They also matched their pricing as well. The good news is when you buy the adapter with the body the adapter is only $150 and you don't have to buy more glass.
