That looks good. Keep in mind, from my experiences that leather slip cover will not work with out the sling swivels helping to hold it in place. I make them on request, but don't reccommend them. I had a customer ask me to modify his when it slid up the stock. No way to keep it in place.

The rifle is a 1895G in 45/70 the large loop lever is from WWG the sights and scope mounts are from XS, I also extended the magazine tube which I think realy makes the gun look and balance like a lever action should. As for the cuff riding up I believe it probably would but in my case my swivel stud keeps it in place.

Yes, as I mentioned, without the swivels, it will ride up.

I do like the look of the extended Tube. Over all I think that is one fine looking rifle and set up!

I bought the tube for a Marlin 1895 cowboy from Brownell's cut about 4in from the end opposite the magazine bulge, and then re cut the dovetail on the underside of the barrel. I also bought a Marble's sight blank and filled the old dovetail and filed it to match the barrel.

I handload for everything. The ones pictured are 405gr remingtons over 48.5gr of IMR4198 with winchesyer pimers and brass. It is a stiff but accurate load in my rifle. I am going to order some 425gr Beartooth piledrivers and play with those. I have yet to shoot cast bullets out of this rifle so I am curious to see how they shoot.
