So there appears to be a chance at late season cow tags available for CO 191. Is it worth it? Can I get a quality cow hunt? There looks to be a lot of roads, homes/cabins, etc. I'm just looking to get out, learn a little, and fill the freezer. Cow tag, looking for green green grass in November.

If the alternative is no elk hunting, then its great! To be clear, I know nothing about 191, but I do know that not elk hunting sucks.

Well, I don't disagree, but that sounds like it came from Bin Fin (aka Randy). PRM, a few years back you shared here some 338 Federal loads, got anything new for the Federal? It's likely my 338F will be going along.

If there is not a lot of access to land to hunt, (left over tags is a bit suspicious) then maybe to "not hunt is not bad" other than donation to state of CO. Also what is the snow going to look like for that hunt?
Map recon should tell you a lot without leaving your chair.
