Thanks, it really is a nice one. Got it more than 15 years ago when I was really looking for a .270. But this one was nice so what the heck. Good trigger and had the bottom metal with release in the guard. Stock reminds me of the 700 ADL and fits me as well as any factory rifle I've found. Sighted it in with a bubble pack Tasco then shot a couple of 100yd groups. One was 3/4" the other was 7/8". Reloader 22 and the 120 Hornady worked well. But you know how it is, you see something else a little more shiny and there you go. So the nice rifle came to stay in the safe more than going to the woods. That means it's time for someone else to tickle their fancy with the old girl. Got a fair price from a nice guy so everyone's happy. Thing is, there's not a commercial 98 being manufactured for the masses anymore. These Mark Xs are probably the end of a dying breed. They need to hunt.
