Hi Richard. Butler is off Wabigoon, right ?

Gopher & Tom, Wabigoon Lake fish are normally light coloured, due to the clay content of the lake.

The lighter one above, is from Eagle lake, which is more like Lake of the Woods !

I like to see the difference from lake to lake. Pretty cool stuff.

Those are nice boats Paul. I asked because the layout if very much like my 16.5ft Alumacraft Classic dlx.

I bought an old Sylvan with a walk through console last year. Really like it but I might want to go back to a simpler, single console layout.

Tom, I all ready told you-$250.00 for the 7mm, and since I'm such a nice guy, you can keep the scope, and throw in the boat........

We heard the goose gunners open up bright and early this morning. They hunt a couple different fields near us. Twice we've had geese end up in the neighborhood after doing the glide of death from across the street. One went unclaimed, so I cleaned it and ate it. The other one was closely followed by a big Chessie who wasn't about to go back to the pits without that goose. How many dogs do 1/4 mile retrieves?

Congrats Paul!

Food looks great as always.

I have the week off. I planned to build a shed this week but we made good progress this past weekend. Walked my stepdaughter to school today. It’s her first day at a new school so she was a little nervous. Gun cleaning day since it’s supposed to rain all day.

Slight chill this morning.

Something stirs within my heart, a mild tremor of adrenaline. Not sure if primal or habitual awakening.... I say habitual on the hunting aspect, regulated by fellow man with rules and a calendar. Primal on the seasonal aspect, a trigger of the coming season, thoughts of preparation etc.

To be continued.

Something clever here.

I thought the same thing. Got up and went outside to put up the last wall on my shed project and you can feel it. I’m not even sure if it’s 60 degrees and it feels perfect.

The wind from the nw hit my face and it was as you described, a quick primal turn of the head in that direction. Nothing specific but a feeling that hits you and you understand what is coming with the shorter days, longer nights and lazy sunrises.

We drove south past your latitude yesterday Dave. Cool for sure, but is that time of year.
