Did you apply this year dave?

I'm not sure how long it takes to get CO/MT/WY elk tags, but I'd like to take the boy when he's 16'ish.

Anyone know how to post an image from Imgur?

When I try it posts a link to the image and not the actual image.

Tom,

In Colorado to depends on weapon choice and which season you want to hunt and which GMU you choose. I drew a GMU 12 muzzleloader cow tag with 1 pref point. In the same unit a bull tag takes 10 or 11 points.

DIY archery on public land in southern WY. We went there in 2015 and were successful. really looking forward to hunting the same place again as all of our hunts so far have been new places.

Dave,

What the hell did you do with the picture?

We went with a drop camp through J Bar H outfitters. Jeanne's base camp is south of Craig. She packed us in about 4-5 miles. The country out there is absolutely stunning.

B-man, drove I-80 across southern WY for the first time and I was surprised by all the mountains. Good luck on your hunt!!

Cool knife as always Jeff. Interesting that a couple of different knives of yours have been very close to where you hunted, very close in the same unit some years before.

It still sees action. I believe Missy has that one. I still use the one you gave me. It's become my go to.

Your sheaths are rock solid and tight, even after years of use.

Nice. I have a few years to go. He's 13 this year. I'd like to get him a bit more experience. Hunting a bit in SD in a few weeks may help.

Congrats on the elk Jeff!

I post pics the same way we used to. I use photobucket again since its up and working.

I have heard really good things about J Bar H Outfitting. Glad you had a great hunt and were successful!

In honor of my dad, I carry his well worn Buck 110. I always carry some of Dad's gear when I hunt. Keeps us close. I have several other knives, but Dad's Buck is all I need.

Tom...that knife happens to be homeless. The blade is s35v, handle has red liners and the scales are desert ironwood. I'd call it a bird and trout knife with the slim profile on the blade. About 3-3/8" cutting edge, overall is 8-1/4".

Made a run up to the Floodwood shack yesterday afternoon. Trails were dry and dusty yesterday, standing water everywhere today.
