I saw an announcement of some new Sigma lenses.

The idea of a 60-600mm sports lens is somewhat intriguing. I have not used any Sigma lenses in the past so have no idea of their IQ

Anyone shoot with Sigma?

I saw that announcement and thought they are getting closer to the all-in-one 12-600 f/1.8 that weight only 3 pounds ;-) It will be interesting to see how this 60-600 compares to their 150-600 Sport. The only Sigma lens I have is the 12-24 Art, which I got from Joel for the wider 12mm and less distortion than the Nikon 14-24. All of their Art lenses seem to get good reviews (aside from their 24-70).

It will be interesting if it has good IQ and the focus is fast enough for sports. I have used the Canon 100-400L II and it is a really good sports lens but heavy and expensive.

The Tamron 150-600 G2 is, IMO, the best in its class. The coatings are amazing, glass is tack sharp, the arca swiss tripod mount. It's a winner and of course mention the forum if you need one and it's a great deal too.

Weight of 5.95 pounds. The f/6.3 may be a limitation for some

Wow, almost 6 lbs. I thought the Canon 100-400 was sort of on the heavy side...!
